Private Events
A creative way to celebrate a special birthday, hen do, or a new idea for a fun team building event with a youth club, school or a work away-day. We can either host a private event at one of our partner host venues, work with a venue you have chosen for your special occasion or simply come to you.
When you book Oh for Art's Sake for a private event, we bring absolutely everything and do all the setting up and clearing away, so that you can simply relax and enjoy your event. All art materials are provided, whatever art medium you choose for your special occasion, whether that is a Paint & Sip, a Batik Workshop or Lino Printing.
Oh for Art's Sake pride themselves on planning an event with a welcoming, fun-filled, encouraging atmosphere where you will create special memories and a beautiful piece of art to take home.

Paint & Sip
Your guests will be guided step by easy step to paint a beautiful piece of art to take home. Our experienced art teachers will both be on hand to demonstrate and to ensure you have everything you need.
All art materials are provided, including table easels, canvases, paints, brushes and aprons. We are even equipped with focus lights so you can maintain your ambient evening lighting, but still have enough light to paint by.

Batik Workshops
Immerse yourself in the rich vibrant tradition of batik and create a beautiful piece of art that reflects your personal style, using hot wax and colourful dyes.
Oh for Art's Sake can offer you a private workshop session for up to 12 guests where our experienced instructors guide you through the steps of traditional batik to create a piece that you will be proud of using stunning patterns and designs.
We will supply all the gear you need, from fabric and dyes to tools, so you can focus on unleashing your creativity. All we need is somewhere to plug in the equipment!
Lino Printing
Oh for Art's Sake can teach you a new skill in a hands-on creative, relaxed and sociable session where participants learn how to create artwork using the linocut printmaking technique.
Our experienced printmakers will introduce you to the tools and materials, and how to use them safely. You will also be advised on what makes a good design and the concept of 'negative space'.
Everything you need will be provided for you to create a lino block ready for printing and a range of colours and materials to print onto will be available to experiment with.
The best part is taking your printed pieces home and your carved lino block from which you can keep on printing!
